About this Place

nurse1

Here is the secret:

All names, ages, and places have been edited, altered, changed in someway to protect the privacy of others as well as my own privacy.

Some of this is real, some of this is not real, and you the reader will never know.

This is not about you, or a particular place or institution, but there may be some of you who can relate; and that is the point, purpose of this writing.

To know that there are those who have that same feeling.

You may know me. You may not know me. That is not what this is about.

If you do find that you know me, perhaps I have shared my

poetry

thoughts

emotions

love of art

and hearts

and of course lungs.

Finding your blog… quite a coincidence.
I’ve been feeling like.. “poop, green poop”. It all started with a cold… and now, every time I cough it feels like one of my lungs wants out..
This morning I called my dad. Yes, me, a grown woman.. I had to call my dad. Crying, desperate, my heart pounding like crazy. I told him to take me to a holistic doctor he knows.. he suggested some other doctor. I refused.. he picked me up, gave me a hug, lots of love and I started feeling better. We talked, had some tea… and I felt a whole lot better. We waited for three hours, driving across the city, getting fruits and veggies for me to make some of the magic juiced that help me in these scenarios (and for some stupid reason I didn’t do before, and let myself get this sick). In the end, I didn’t go to the doctor. I got so much better..

So I’m blogging my experience, and I’m looking for a nice drawing of the lungs and the heart, and I find one that took me to your blog…

    and it’s lovely

    =)

    And I’m wondering…

what spiritual affliction makes you have a respiratory disease?

    Big hug,

    M.Egg

just found your blog through typing “nurses” in the search box at wordpress, and as a nursing student who hates nursing, i must say this blog’s giving me another better and brighter point of view in nursing. i actually might be willing to get that nursing license after all :)

    Dear Jane,

My name is Barbara O’ Brien and my blogging at The Mahablog, Crooks and Liars, AlterNet, and elsewhere on the progressive health blogophere has earned me the notoriety of being a panelist at the Yearly Kos Convention and a featured guest blogger at the Take Back America Conference in Washington, DC.

I’m contacting you because I found your site in a health and health reform blog search and want to tell you about my newest blogging platform —the public concern of health care and its reform. Our shared concerns include health reform, tort reform, public health, safe workplaces, and asbestos contamination.

To increase awareness on these important issues, my goal is to get a resource link on your site or even allow me to provide a guest posting. Please contact me back, I hope to hear from you soon. Drop by our site http://www.maacenter.org/blog in the meantime.

    Thanks,

    Barbara O’ Brien
