    I always feel bad when I give a patient mucomyst, too. The stuff smells horrific, and I’m told that it tastes even worse.

    And the way it hangs in the air after nebulizing…gross!

    Yuck. I can not imagine giving this via neds. It must really mist up the room with that nasty smell…steamy like. Yuck.
    In my new nurse limited experience world of medication admin I have so far only given it to drink orally; given for the purpose of protecting the kidneys from contrast for CT scans. ahhhhhhhhhh…….I hope I do not have to experience the neb tx with mucomyst. There has to be a better way.
